Harmony Together Mentorship
Yes, our program is a mentorship plan. A program with structured, get to the root of the problem to fix the problem, type of plan. You could join a Facebook group where people will post their 2 cents, be nice and or nasty and create confusion without you really knowing the answer to your problem. Or you could find a trusted mentor who has been through the same types of issues as you and your family, who also loves God and will encourage you to forgive, love and let go.
This plan is NOT counseling. We are coaches. Not attorneys. Not psychologists or therapists. Just a normal couple who has some experience and wisdom to offer. Some encouragement and hope that will not keep you miserably angry, bitter and self righteous. Our goal is to first remind each other of how much God wants to be a part of our journey and give us the strength and wisdom to deal with family issues.
Your marriage and blended family relationship success begins with you and your spouse. I believe that is why God created marriage and family. The family unit is much stronger under God and in marriage. I know that these days, many couples don’t get married right away or even ever. Eric and I are guilty of this. We moved in together and didn’t marry for another year. Thankfully, we made the right decision 20 years ago and are grateful for God’s mercy and forgiveness. Ironically, just a few months after he moved in, I had a beautiful soul woman come in to get her nails done at my job. She told me I should get married to whoever I was living with. I didn’t tell her about my situation. God told her to tell me. God was really confirming to us what we already wanted to do. So we got married 3 months later.
So, how you relate to each other, how you support and commit to one another will determine how you treat your kids as a family unit. Your spouse always comes first after your love for God. Love God, love your spouse and because you love your spouse you will absolutely do what is right for your kids and step kids. Period.
So, in a nutshell, all we do here is bring awareness to what is important. Sometimes when we are in the midst of struggles we only see our pain. When we shift our focus on God and how much He loves us, we will then depend on His mercy, Grace and wisdom to move us forward and learn. We have learned this over time. These are Biblical principles that we are pointing out. Understand this…. the foundation principles of marriage is what will bring you success as a new blended family. This foundation is the main pillar of coaching you will learn here. We can’t wait to get to know you!
